You smile throughout the trying day,
At night you close your eyes.
Instead of tranquil peace you see,
A burning in the skies.
For not without our misery,
We are but human beings.
Despite the laughter and the smiles,
You feel you cant be seen.
If misery is what it takes,
To give you some release.
Then just respect that different way,
To accomplish stand-still peace.
So read between the lines, my friends,
Hark, read between the smiles.
Behind each crystal gaze you see,
Theyre screaming all the while.
When finally their rest does come,
Its like they never slept.
For all they see is writhing pain,
In which they feel inept.
When one day, you will find the cure,
To quell thy raving mind.
Until that wondrous day does come,
Ill just remain behind.
