Half Blood Prince

Well, I saw HBP today. Mostly, I enjoyed it. It stuck to the book quite well and all of the characters seemed to be very true to the books as well.

Hermione, for one. I thought it was heart breaking when she was on the stairs crying, with the enchanted birds flying around her head. I could imagine how she must have felt about stupid, blind Ron and his new missus, Lavender. I mean seriously - how thick can you get? Isn't it totally obvious that she likes him? She invited him to Slughorn's party and he didn't get the hint. I quite like the Hermione and Ron pairing and I think that the awkwardness is conveyed quite well between them in the movies.

I also thought that Snape and Malfoy played their parts very well. The part where Malfoy's trying to kill Dumbledore, I could really feel the anger and the fear coming off of him. His facial expressions were all very good and you could tell that he was taking his role very seriously. Snape was also a good player. Especially in that scene where he confronts Malfoy about cursing that girl.

I didn't really feel the Harry and Ginny vibes though. Everyone was banging on about the epic shoelace tying and feeding him a mince pie, but I really didn't think it was all that epic. Book Harry and Ginny I like, but movie Harry and Ginny somehow doesn't seem to work as well.

I also thought that Harry could have shown a bit more emotion when Dumbledore died. I know he was crying on Ginny's shoulder like in the book, but he was more like, softly weeping than bawling his eyes out. I think that book Harry would have gone shit crazy over the death of his idol and father figure and I distinctly remember more yelling angrily when he was chasing Snape.

But I thought that Ron on love potions was very funny. And Harry on that Liquid Luck was quite good too. That bit where he imitates Aragog's pincers made me laugh.

Anyway, that's all from me.

yeah, well, i also have been in a fanfic slump ((except i'm kinda working on a Gunslinger Girl fanfiction which i may put up this summer)) and i have been very bad lately at Avatar Fan art. ..its unfortunate.. >>. i really need to practice drawing avatar stuff.
Hmmm. Gunslinger Girl, eh? Sounds good.

Yeah. I wish there was a how-to-draw Katara guide on the net or something like that. It would make life so much easier.

I bet there is somewhere. ... The book i have, doesn't have the pictures of the characters from Season three. Like how they look , with their hair and stuff. the book i have still has Katara's braid, and Zuko's (Fugly) Pony tail. x].
Yeah, Zuko's ponytail was pretty fugly. I still fancied the pants off him though. :P

Hmm. Shall have to look on the net for a season three book. I prefer Katara with her hair down and Zuko with his sexy emo hair. *drools uncontrollably*

Is it sad to fancy a TV character?

I really loved zuko's hair when its all long and sexy and amazing. katara's hair is so pretty down.
My mom says its sad to be obsessed with a TV character. like, one time i was telling her how i thought zuko was so sexy and she's like "....uhm..he's a cartoon character" and i was like "SO?!" hehe. i don't think its that sad to love a Tv characte
